Feminism - What it needs

Being as inexperienced as I am to say about it, but I still don’t think it’ll cause any harm if I do. Since a year or so, yeah that’s since all my friends have started acting like grown ups, I see a lot of posts talking about it. Some of those get to me, and rest (read most) I just laugh about. Anyway, that’s not the first place where I get the idea about feminism from, it came from a far more sophisticated source, that being my social science book. At that point it was so logical, and even a slight deviation from those ideologies had to be injustice. During that wave, it was equal political and legal rights which were being demanded, and nobody can deny them to half of the society. Back then the boundary drawn was very clear, but that’s not the case today. What feminists talk about these days is social equality, which itself is quite vague. Bharatpur-An Aerial Escapade

A vast stretch of land filled with beauty of nature, be it puddles with hundreds of whistling ducks, a pair of painted stork flying right over your head, or a cormorant with its amazing fish catching skills. Where every frame is picturesque. One place which can revive your love for photography – Bharatpur. It is not everyday that I wake up (actually was shook until I stop babbling) at 4 in the morning, but this wasn't any other day, thanks to my uncle and my brother’s long time wish. After four hrs of drive, we were at Keoladeo National park. And from the very instant I could feel that this place has just too much to offer. We picked up a friendly guide, and started on the 10 km long trail. For the first 4 kms all we could spot were Parakeets or Robins. Although the surroundings were killing it already. My encounter with coding

Ungraded lab 1, SL2, new CSE building IITb. We were given with a very friendly compiler called Prutor (for the first time it wasn’t friendly at all :p). And like everyone else, we were given the same first task. Remember this beyond awesome phrase- “Hello world” My first program wasn’t that simple you see, coz we had to add our name to it as well. That’s where the trouble began. After 30 minutes of random attempts, I finally gave a call to my TA, it was then she told me about the input area. Yeah I just had to give my name as input 😅  . This was not quite the start I was expecting, though after a few days things started becoming better, was able to solve some easy ones but that was it. After midsems it started scaring me off, too much to cope with. At that point, being a CSE student, I started having thoughts on getting my branch changed, mainly because of my below average performance in theory tests. Dan Brown’s (Chillax… No spoilers)

It was Angel and Demons which brought me into the world of Robert Langdon. And the prologue just stunned me, as it was my first encounter with Dan Brown’s signature writing style. To add to the effect I was on an educational trip to US with some very awesome people ( I’d write an article on that as well :) ). The first thing which you can make a mind about, even after some 3-4 chapters is the way the author delivers it. And Dan Brown is arguably one of the best, the books are written in a narrative fashion, depicting each scene. He keeps on dropping subtle hints, those tiny details, keeping the thrill alive throughout. And the best part, those symbolic and historic references which are heavily used all over. He brings out the best in modern and medieval architecture and builds the plot around it, visiting them someday and reliving the books would be a dream come true. Was it worth it?

First sem at IITB, every day I found myself asking the same question. Sometimes I think I’m a pessimist, among the ones who always finds grass greener on the other side. Then I think nah, I always am looking for satisfaction, just couldn’t find it yet. So, what I’m upto now is a lookback. Maybe I’ll find my answer at the end of it. Starting with from where it all began. It was the day JEE Advanced results were announced. I was so happy, happy coz I was satisfied, satisfied coz I was going for the best I could aspire of. After working for years for this one thing, the level of expectations was just so high. And in span of a month I was here, IIT Bombay the top rated institute in the country. At this point I’m wondering how much should I share. Maybe should just keep it to the overview, it’s just too early to give it all. So here I go.
